Statement RANDOMIZE

Set the pseudo-random generator seed.

Syntax

RANDOMIZE expression

Parameters

Parameter	Meaning
`expression`	16-bit seed; zero is normalized to one.

Behavior

Repeating the same seed and sequence of RND calls reproduces the same results.

Example

RANDOMIZE 123
PRINT RND(100)
RANDOMIZE 123
PRINT RND(100)

Limits and diagnostics

The expression is mandatory. RANDOMIZE TICKS uses the current OS tick counter.
